SUMMARY:Home Is A Place Rooted Inside My Throat
DESCRIPTION:The year began with ever-escalating hostile policies and state violence. We wondered: What does it mean to belong here\, there\, or anywhere? Sixteen artists responded. \n𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐈𝐬 𝐀 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐭 is a group show exploring belonging and shared resistance. With this collection of works\, we hope to honor people everywhere who seek freedom and liberation. The words of Oliver de la Paz and Warsan Shire\, both poets who resist colonial forces with their every line\, helped guide us towards a title that speaks to the fundamental complexities of ‘home’ and the visceral feelings it awakens. \n𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬:\nDaliah Ammar-Shin\nhazel batrezchavez\nCathy Calabio\nPaola de la Calle\nVianney Harelly\nRick R.
