QWANQWA’s workshops open the eyes of the participants to a greater world view, expose them to a new culture of Ethiopia through a variety of inroads, and enrich what they already may know about the culture and its people.
Members of the band will demonstrate traditional instruments, describing the materials and how they were made from simple materials. Getting people moving with some traditional dance moves enriches their experience of the workshop with physicality.
QWANQWA shares the personal journeys of the musicians life in music, how they came to it, and what a musicians life looks like in Addis Ababa.
