September 25, 2020 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Sara Roybal received her MFA in Dance with a graduate certificate in Ethnic Studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Currently she is an independent artist focused on choreographing in the Chican@ aesthetic. Her research and techniques focus in Mexican folklore, modern, Latin social, hip hop and post-modern genres. Sara’s research consciously collides the cultural, social, economic traditional and contemporary boarders. She focuses on the historical impetus of Mexican folklore in the USA and its growth and development of the cultural representation of it today through a Chican@ lens.
