DESCRIPTION:Afsaneh Javanmard creates unforgettable photographs by combining her bold creative vision with extracting technical skill. One of the first women to pursue a career in commercial photography in Iran\, Javanmard began taking photos professionally in Tehran in her early 20s. As a teenager\, she carried her camera everywhere\, winning praise for her photographs of friends and family. After studying photography at a private university in Tehran\, she started making family portraits and photographing Persian weddings professionally. \nShe likes to create a surreal world and drown herself in it. A peaceful and colorful place to avoid the reality and cruelty of the world. “Water is a symbol of purity\, I feel weightless and free\, shapeless\, unpredictable\, wild\, and at the same time collected. When I put my head under the water\, I feel this energy that’s like a musical symphony\, its cheerful and liberating.”
