Website Rochester Contemporary Art Center

The Rochester Contemporary Art Center opens a call for 6×6 art. 6×6 is a fundraiser. 6×6 brings together thousands of original artworks, made and donated by celebrities, international & local artists, designers, youth and YOU.

Its annual 6×6 exhibition is a fun, low-pressure way for artists and art lovers alike to take part in an international exhibition. There are no fees, no juries, and very few rules—just creativity.

What is 6×6?

It’s a global celebration of art featuring thousands of 6” x 6” works from around the world—and it’s completely free to enter. Participants simply complete a short entry form and either drop off their artwork at RoCo by April 4 or mail it by April 7. As public funding for the arts continues to face cuts and uncertainty, community-powered fundraising efforts like 6×6 are more important than ever. Your participation directly supports artists and helps sustain accessible contemporary art programming.

Optional Theme: The City of Rochester Logo

This year, artists may choose to create a 6×6 featuring the City of Rochester’s logo. These “Flower City” artworks will be installed together on a dedicated wall as part of a community-wide celebration of this iconic graphic. This theme is entirely optional—as always, all 6×6 artworks will be accepted and displayed regardless of theme.
