2026 Nevada Horse Trails Featured Artist

Nevada Horse Trails is a small passion project born from a desire to make it easier for equestrians to see more of Nevada. We document trails, campgrounds, and other open spaces all over the state and this year launched an online store with apparel. Our business may be small, but our love for Nevada is large, which is why we are launching a featured Nevada artist initiative!

We want to find one Nevada-based artist each year to create a limited edition design, starting in 2026. We are asking artists to illustrate their interpretation of Nevada, Horses, and Trails – those themes individually or as a whole – in their own unique style. Pretty broad prompt, right? That’s because we’re more interested in selecting for style, not for how well you interpret our brand! Along with a monetary award for the featured artist, the design will be used for a limited edition run of merchandise for one year.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

Eligibility: Open to artists residing in Nevada
Deadline: 8/31/25
Award: $1,000, plus artist feature on website, store, and social media for one year

– An artist biography and portfolio
– A conceptual sketch of the theme
– A few sentences on your interpretation of the theme

We will select an artist in September 2025. Final designs are due by November 2025. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
