Windows on First: Temporary Public Art Project

The Windows on First program invites artists to create original, site-specific installations presented within the context of the First Street Art Trail. This project offers artists an opportunity to display their artwork in a public place. The proposed installation should relate to the space, and the windows should form a cohesive relationship. The artwork will be on display for approximately six months, beginning in April 2026. The selected artist or artist team will be responsible for installation, maintenance, deinstallation, and returning the space to its original condition.

The city of Las Vegas’ Public Art and Gallery Program serves valley residents and visitors, celebrating the city’s extraordinary character, by acquiring and displaying artworks in public spaces and supporting community-led public art efforts.
