New Emergency Support Grant from GOED
The Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) is announcing the Pandemic Emergency Technical Support (PETS) Grant Program which makes $19 million in Coronavirus Relief Funds available to provide operational support to small businesses, non-profits organizations, arts and culture organizations, and local Chambers of Commerce impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Program is intended to be flexible and ensure that eligible businesses, non-profits and other entities can adequately respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, safely reopen and continue their operations. Arts and culture organizations are being prioritized within the funding groups, so the Nevada Arts Council is partnering with GOED to disseminate this grant information to all eligible arts and culture organizations.
AWARD AMOUNT: $20,000
Funds must be used for 1) General Expenses for working capital such as rent, inventory, payroll, utilities, etc. and 2) Protective Equipment and Protective Retrofits
DEADLINE: Applications will be accepted online beginning on October 19, 2020 at 8am PST. The application period will close on November 2, 2020 at 5pm PST.
- Have experienced and can demonstrate financial hardship due to COVID-19
- Have a physical location in State (includes home-based businesses)
- Have an active business license prior to March 1, 2020 and be in good standing with the State (no liens or judgments, etc.)
PETS GRANT INFORMATIONAL WEBINAR
The Nevada Arts Council will be hosting two informational webinars on the PETS Grant for Nevada arts and culture organizations. This webinar will include representatives from the Office of the State Treasurer and the Governor’s Office of Economic Development who will provide details on the grant program and answer questions.
- SESSION #1: Wednesday, October 14 at 10:00 am (PT)
- SESSION #2: Thursday, October 15 at 6:00 pm (PT)
Both sessions will cover the same information and will last approximately 1 hour.
