IDEAS Workshop

improving inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility

IDEAs PROGRAM MISSION STATEMENT

To shape a shared understanding of how bias affects the vitality of Nevada’s creative communities.

PROGRAM SERIES & WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

All program workshops include exercises and roundtable discussions that assess how cultural insensitivity is developed and reinforced through cultural traditions, personal upbringing and professional experiences.  IDEAS Through Reconciliation explores the intersection of arts and implicit bias in creative workspaces and is specifically designed for arts administrators, municipal cultural supervisors and executive arts leaders who serve throughout the state of Nevada. The primary objective of the workshop is to create a nonpartisan space that encourages constructive, internal reflection. The intensives are not facilitated through an advocacy, political or social justice lens. The learning outcomes from the two-day intensive are intended to shape a shared understanding of the complex aspects of implicit bias and how its reflected in arts planning and programming.
