DESCRIPTION:Join us for Altruistic Nostalgia: How the past we hold onto shapes the future we create – Art by Shelby McAuliffe. \nThis show is an immersive\, site-responsive installation that critically examines nostalgia as both a tool of empowerment and a mechanism of control in contemporary society. This work positions nostalgia not as passive longing but as an active choice. \n~ \nThe reception is on Dec. 18\, 2025\, from 5-8 p.m. and will feature light refreshments\, as well as words from the artist. The show runs from Dec. 4-28\, 2025 \nThank you to the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts for supporting the project.

SUMMARY:Alchemy of the Ephemeral
DESCRIPTION:A two-person show with new paintings by Joanna Drakos and Erika Mayoral. Joanna will premiere new paintings from her series\,” Alchemy of the Ephemeral\,” where she utilizes scents to inspire her abstract works on canvas. Visitors will experience the scent that inspired each painting for an immersive sensorial experience. Joanna’s project is partially funded by a grant from the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. Erika Mayoral will have a new collection of abstract paintings on view. \n\nArtist reception: November 12\, 2022\, 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m.\n\nTimes:\nThis gallery is open by appointment only or by artist gallery hours.
