Artists presenting vaccine information

In recognition of the importance of the Silver State’s community of artists, Nevada artists are invited to apply to be chosen to create artworks that are unique, accurate and will serve to increase vaccine awareness. Selected artists will then create artwork such as visual art, comics, songs, and other culturally relevant formats that speak to underserved rural and urban communities

Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties, in partnership with Immunize Nevada and Nevada Community Health Worker Association, is offering $2,000 each in awards to artists who can help get messages about the benefits of all vaccines to Nevada residents. The goal is creation of artworks promoting public health and safety messages about the benefits of vaccinations.

For Accurate Vaccine Facts: For routine (non-COVID-19) vaccine information, visit the Immunize Nevada website and hover over the ‘Caregivers and Families’ tab for information related to vaccine preventable disease, along with safety and efficacy information.

For COVID-19 Vaccine Information: For COVID-19 vaccine information visit Immunize Nevada’s NVCOVIDFighter.org site and select any one of the many resources that speak to COVID-19 vaccine safety and efficacy.

Artworks will visibly demonstrate positivity and trust in vaccines with messages that:

Emphasize vaccine safety and effectiveness

Champion access to the vaccines
