14 New Teaching Artists join Nevada Arts Council Roster
The Nevada Arts Council welcomes 14 new arts educators to its Teaching Artists Roster.
The Teaching Artists Roster is an opportunity for artists based in Nevada to share their skills with the community. As a teaching artist on the roster, these vetted educators can offer workshops, classes, and residencies to schools, libraries, community centers, and other venues throughout the state. They also are eligible to receive additional arts council grants to supplement their fees.
The artists range in expertise from the visual arts, literature, folk and traditional arts, and dance. Learn more about each on the newly launched Teaching Artist Roster, which provides streamlined access to finding a teaching artist to fit your needs.

The Teaching Artist Roster is a valuable resource for organizations, schools, and communities looking to broaden and diversify participation in the arts. The roster artists represent a wide range of art forms and are experienced in collaborating with schools and communities to conduct learning in, through, or about the arts. They are selected through a rigorous review process. Teaching artists’ experience ranges from working with at-risk youth, English language learners, and older adults.
Individual teaching artists who are on the arts council’s roster are eligible for the Arts Learning Express Grant (ALX), which is designed to support a short-term teaching artist residency (20 hours maximum). This grant also is open to community organizations and public institutions that hire these teaching artists.
