The Nevada Arts Council does not create art, but we create programs that foster art and creativity. Through professional development, networking, and exposure opportunities, we help artists and arts organizations do their work better. Through education opportunities, exhibits, performances, and events, Nevadans of all ages can experience the arts, learn, and grow.

Basin to Range Exchange

The Nevada Basin to Range Exchange (BRX) is a biennial program that connects rural and metropolitan communities to collaborate on Nevada’s cultural and economic growth.

Legislative Exhibition

Since 1985, the Legislative Exhibition Series has displayed artwork by Nevada artists on the first floor of the Legislative Building during the biennial legislative session.

Nevada Touring Initiative

The NTI Traveling Exhibition Program brings high-quality visual art to communities statewide, offering affordable exhibits with installation, insurance, and materials included.
Folklife

Nevada Poet Laureate

The Nevada State Poet Laureate promotes poetry statewide through readings, workshops, and community projects, with Shaun Griffin serving from 2024 to 2026.
Grants

Poetry Out Loud

Poetry Out Loud is a national program that helps students build confidence and public speaking skills through poetry study and recitation competitions.
