For nearly 60 years, the Nevada Arts Council has worked to ensure Nevadans across the state have access to art and opportunities for creative expression. On these pages, you’ll find a calendar of arts events and a collection of Nevada art you can browse and enjoy online.

Rural Moments

Ranching has been a major industry in rural Nevada for over a century. The rhythm of ranch life has largely stayed the same across the generations, even as modern innovations change things. The scenes captured here are both timeless and of their time, and you can find them repeating if you return to the places they were taken.

The Nevada Folklife Archives

Since 1985, the Nevada Arts Council’s Folklife Program has documented the existence and development of Nevada’s diverse geographical and cultural communities and its resident folk artists.

LXS 2025

Since 1985, the Legislative Exhibition Series (LXS) has displayed artwork by Nevada artists on the first floor of the Legislative Building during the biennial legislative session.
