The Nevada Arts Council Teaching Artist Directory is an online resource for schools, organizations, and communities. Find an arts educator for your classroom or program.
Teaching Artist Studios
Teaching Artist Studios offers online workshops to support arts learning. Videos are developed by Nevada Arts Council Teaching Artists and include lesson plans and worksheets. Videos can be used by learners of all ages.
Programs
Creative Aging
Research shows that creativity is good for both the mind and body as we age. That’s why our Creative Aging program supports art classes, workshops, and other art activities for older Nevadans. Our goal is to improve their quality of life through the power of the arts.
Veterans Initiatives
In partnership with veterans organizations, the Nevada Arts Council brings classes in memoir writing, guitar playing, and visual art into veteran centers, medical facilities, and nonprofit groups.
Poetry Out Loud
The National Endowment for the Arts partners with the Nevada Arts Council to support the Poetry Out Loud competition in communities throughout the state. High school students in public, private, charter, home, and virtual schools master public speaking skills, build self-confidence, and learn about their literary heritage through the memorization of classic and contemporary poetry.
