Bernardo “Mxkt” is a contemporary painter and multidisciplinary artist currently based in Reno, Nevada. After moving from Europe to the United States in 2017, he has continued to develop a distinctive body of work rooted in surrealist automatism and abstraction. His paintings often combine acrylics, spray paint, graffiti materials, and oil sticks to explore subconscious phenomena such as pareidolia and apophenia. His recent works incorporate Chromadepth 3D glasses to heighten chromatic aberrations and create immersive visual experiences.
Bernardo Mxkt earned a degree in social sciences in Brazil in 2011. In 2017, he embarked on a self-directed tour across Europe to engage with contemporary abstract art practices firsthand. Following this exploration, he relocated to the U.S., where he has participated in numerous group exhibitions and collaborations. In 2024, he presented his first public solo gallery show, “What Do You See?”, held from July to August, which drew hundreds of visitors
