Lee Lanier is a contemporary narrative painter and muralist who lives in Boulder City, Nevada and runs a gallery in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lanier's colorful paintings breathe new life into historical, literary, and mythological stories. He dabbled in fine art his entire life but only turned to painting in a serious manner in 2015. He has worked professionally as an animator for more than 30 years, spending time at Walt Disney Studios and DreamWorks. Of late, his paintings have joined eight solo shows and 80 group shows at 40 galleries and museums in eight states. He has painted two dozen murals for cities, counties, corporations, and nonprofits in Nevada, California, Colorado, Ohio, and Alabama. An enthusiastic supporter of community arts, he co-founded the Dam Short Film Festival and sat on the board of the Las Vegas Arts District.
