Shereen Choudhury is a licensed Nevada educator, artist, and community arts facilitator with more than 17 years of teaching experience. They hold a license issued by the Nevada Department of Education in both K-12 Visual Arts and Elementary Education and currently serve as a public high school art teacher. Choudhury is a career art educator and advocate, having worked in the field for almost 20 years.  In addition to classroom teaching, they have led creative workshops for diverse communities of all ages, including professional development for educators, corporate trainings, festivals, and community arts projects.

Choudhury believe that everyone is an artist, and they are passionate about helping individuals discover their creative voice. Choudhury work centers on the belief that art-making is a powerful tool for self-expression, healing, and community connection. They have taught art to learners of all ages, from preschoolers to senior citizens, and they are deeply committed to lifelong learning in my own creative praxis. Choudhury strive to make their classes accessible and welcoming to people of different abilities, cultures, backgrounds, and learning styles, creating inclusive spaces where participants can build confidence, overcome inner blocks, and collaborate on meaningful art that reflects shared values and positive impact in their own lives and in the world. They work with all different types of medium including drawing, painting, clay, sculpture, and mixed-media. Choudhury enjoys bringing in other art forms like music and dance, as well as art history into their lessons for a well-rounded arts education.

In addition to Choudhury work as an educator and artist, they are a certified yoga teacher with both 200-hour and 300-hour advanced training. They incorporate mindfulness, wellness, and somatic awareness into their art-making programs, with a special interest in supporting mental health through what they call creative wellness. This integrative approach helps participants not only develop artistic skills, but also use creative expression as a tool for emotional well-being, self-discovery, and personal growth.

When not teaching, you can find Choudhury making music, building their community, traveling the world, and continuing their own lifelong journey in artistic discovery.
