Vegas City Opera offers classes and workshops covering music, wellness, and performance, serving as an interdisciplinary hub of creativity, learning, and professional development for local artists and the community. Among its innovative programs is WellTuned, a music-centered wellness initiative that harnesses the transformative power of music to support emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being. Designed for vulnerable youth, individuals on the autism spectrum, and non-verbal participants, WellTuned creates a safe space for healing, self-expression, and personal growth. Backed by scientific research, the program helps participants regulate emotions, reduce anxiety, and build self-esteem, while Vegas City Opera continues its mission of sharing the vibrance and excitement of contemporary opera with the Las Vegas Valley—tirelessly building a future where opera arts are embraced and celebrated by all.

Opera@Lunch
This 15-30 minute introduction to opera is a simple pop-up concert during lunch time, cafeteria or other “pop-up” venue. The concept is to thrill, delight, and surprise students with an immersive program that breaks down the “stuffiness” factor of opera (K-12).
“OperAccessible” Program
Vegas City Opera pioneered the first “sensory adaptive” educational program in Nevada in 2017, with the support of the Nevada Arts Council. This program was created to bring opera to students who are mentally and physically disadvantaged from preschool to high school. Titled ”What is Opera?”, this 30-minute program comes with teaching materials, a coloring handout, and a question-and-answer session with the artists.
Family Stage – Opera For Kids
Vegas City Opera debuted The Princess and the Magic Flute, a children’s opera inspired by Wolfgang Mozart. The iconic cast of the Queen of the Night, Priest Sarastro, Prince Tamino, Princess Pamina and that charming bird-like duo, Papageno and Papagena, all embark on a treacherous journey of initiation that ends in triumph for the young royal couple. The music includes the popular Singspiel (spoken dialogue) and is a timeless gem to be savored by all ages.
Ageless Opera
Honoring our 55+ community members, Vegas City Opera presents a variety of themed concerts at recreational and assisted living centers for Mother’s Day, Earth Day, Halloween and Christmas, combining opera, operetta, musical theater standards, sing-a-longs and folk music that allow our seniors to reminisce and be inspired. Vegas City Opera also created a unique integrated experience for Vegas senior residents with Carmen and The Pirates of Penzance – when residents learn and perform a reduced version of the pirates, police and sisters and/or the gypsies in each show.
