Join us for a webinar with Nevada‘s Poet Laureate, Shaun Griffin, as we explore poetry, community, and the transformative power of words. Appointed by Governor Joe Lombardo to serve from May 2024 through April 2026, Griffin is a Nevada Writers Hall of Fame inductee, author of seven books of poetry, and co-founder of northwestern Nevada‘s nonprofit, Community Chest. In this discussion, we’ll explore Griffin’s journey as a poet, his career that bridges art and community service, and his momentous work in bringing poetry education to Nevada‘s correctional facilities. 

One attendee will be chosen to get a signed copy of RazorWire XVI 2018, a journal of inmate work that Shaun compiled.
