Spend the summer “capturing the muse” in this special six-part series designed to stretch your literary imagination through content-generating exercises, discussion, and critique.  Nevada author and teaching artist Amanda Skenandore will help you understand the fundamentals of creative writing including story structure, character development, pacing and perspective, effective literary devices, and self-editing in this free course.  In the last class, friends and family are invited to attend to create collage artwork that represents the stories written by the students.  Final essays and artwork will be displayed for all to see and enjoy on the Community Sustainable Art Wall at Clark County Library. Students who finish all six classes will receive a certificate of completion.  Free admission & all materials for the series will be supplied.

Sessions will run for six consecutive Mondays: July 11, July 18, July 25, Aug 1, Aug 8, and Aug 15 starting at 1pm.  Students who complete all six sessions will receive a certificate of completion.
