Folking Great! Rick Shea and Tony Gilkyson In Concert

$15 – $25The Silver City Preservation Society, with Evangeline Presents and Yellow Truck Productions is pleased to present An extraordinary duo of songwriters and musicians in a benefit concert in Silver City, Nevada on Sunday, November 19 at 7:00 PM, doors at 6:00 PM.
Donations of $15-$25 to attend will be collected at the door. There will be beer, wine and nonalcoholic drinks for sale and a treat table with delicious baked items from Silver City resident bakers available for a donation. Hailing from the Los Angeles area, Rick Shea & Tony Gilkyson are seasoned guitarists and songwriters with well known resumes (Shea with Wanda Jackson, R.E.M and others, Gilkyson with Tom Waits and Bob Dylan and both with Dave Alvin) team up here on each others songs. Their songs and sound are informed by many roots music genres including folk, blues, country, americana, rock n roll and more. Rick Shea and Tony Gilkyson are artists and song crafters at the highest level.

The Folking Great! concert series is produced by father and daughter team Evangeline Elston and Bob Elston of Evangeline Presents and Yellow Truck Productions to benefit the Silver City Preservation Society (SCPS), a 501 c 3 nonprofit. They are residents of Silver City and are passionate about producing concerts and arts events that deepen and enhance the community in town and invite people in from around the region to share in it. The SCPS manages the Silver City Schoolhouse and Community Center, provides planning, oversite and fundraising for community development projects, plans, and hosts educational events, community art events and sponsors arts and culture events.
