Please join us in celebrating the artistic achievements of Joanna Drakos during a reception at the Metro Gallery on Thursday, July 30 from 5-7p.m. Now on view at the Metro Gallery in Reno City Hall, “The Audacity of Daydreaming” is a solo exhibition by Reno City Artist Joanna Drakos. Joanna’s non-representational abstract artwork examines how painting often resurfaces emotions and memories that have long been neglected. Much of her recent work explores childhood memories and how they relate to characteristics that Joanna embodies today.
