Liberace: Real and Beyond Exhibit

The Nevada State Museum’s latest exhibit Liberace: Real and Beyond, runs June 24 to December 31, outlines the musician’s life through his personal effects and photos.    

The exhibit takes visitors through Liberace’s life as a young prodigious pianist performing with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in the 1940s, his groundbreaking television career, his love of the church and his mother, to his death in 1987. Featuring rarely-seen costumes and his personal collection of religious items. This collection demonstrates a rich exploration of his complicated life and showcases his contribution to the world of classical music and his influence on contemporary pop culture.  The Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas is open Thursday through Monday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. See more information on the exhibit and other amenities at the museum’s website at lasvegasnvmuseum.org.
