My business partner and I are heading up a team of 6 paint-your-own pottery studio owners from 4 states, coming to Uvalde October 22nd & 23rd, 2022.  We are gifting the City of Uvalde a Legacy Memorial Tile Mural similar to the one we were part of donating to our City of Las Vegas, Nevada after the 1 October Route 91 shooting massacre in 2017.

Our ceramics industry suppliers have stepped up to our requests for support with our grass roots effort and we are happy to announce we are bringing over 2500 pieces of 6×6″ tile for Uvalde citizens to paint FREE OF CHARGE.  This therapeutic and healing art therapy sessions will yield a spectacular mural of heartfelt messages of love and remembrance for victims, their families and their community.  We encourage messages of love, honor, peace, hope, healing, kindness and positivity on all forms.  After kiln-firing, the tiles will return to Uvalde for installation at a permanent public site as their city leaders see fit…possibly at the new school to be constructed or a park or civic building.

We are hosting 3 simultaneous painting event sites in Uvalde over a 2 day period. There will be no charge for anyone to participate regardless of income, race, occupation or age… all are welcome.

We were moved to come to Uvalde once we learned of the Robb Elementary shooting massacre this past May and decided to ask our like-minded owners of small mom-and-pop pottery painting studios, like ours in Las Vegas, to assist.  We all belong to a nationwide industry association and are all familiar with each other from years in the business and seeing each other at our national convention and regional conferences.  In Las Vegas, our studio specializes in large scale public painting social art nights at elementary schools.  Our experience with the downtown project in Las Vegas gave us the courage to offer up the memorial tile mural concept to Uvalde, like we did for the Healing Garden in our downtown area.
