Join us for Poetry in the Park on Thursday, April 24 at 6 p.m. at the Silver Springs Recreation Center Amphitheater. The evening will feature Nevada State Poet Laureate Shaun T. Griffin, Nevada State University students and local youth sharing original works and pieces from those who have inspired them.

A celebration of National Poetry Month with highlights of the diverse voices in our community, this event is presented in partnership with Nevada State University’s Office for the Arts and the Marydean Martin Writers’ Project. This special event is part of the Henderson Reads Book Festival and is free and open to the public! Whether you’re a poetry enthusiast or looking for something new, Poetry in the Park will be an evening of art, creativity and inspiration.
