Commissioner Segerblom and Clark County’s Office of Public Art to Unveil ‘Valley of Harmony’
Commissioner Tick Segerblom and Clark County’s Office of Public Arts are delighted to announce the dedication ceremony for the captivating mural “Valley of Harmony” by artist Matthew Murphy. The unveiling ceremony is scheduled to take place on January 30, from noon to 1 p.m., at the Winchester Dondero Cultural Center located at 3130 McLeod Drive near Desert Inn Road.
“Valley of Harmony” is a great work that encapsulates the essence of the Winchester community and its distinctive style. The mural skillfully portrays the expansive and majestic landscape that envelops our city, artfully punctuated by scenes of cultural activities unique to the Winchester-Dondero Cultural Center.
“This mural is a testament to the rich tapestry of our community, celebrating the diverse cultural activities and landscapes that make Winchester truly special,” said Commissioner Segerblom. “’Valley of Harmony’ serves as a symbol of unity and pride for our residents.”
The artist Matthew Murphy will be present at the event to share insights into his creative process and the inspiration behind this exceptional piece. Attendees can engage and gain a deeper understanding of the mural’s significance within the Winchester community.
