Mark Vollmer (photographer/author) and Jim Eaglesmith (singer/songwriter) will help you create your own multimedia community song to be proud of. This multi-session program is designed to help you discover your potential of storytelling via photography, journaling, and using your journal words to create a special community song that everyone can take ownership in. The first six sessions will begin with Jim performing an original song related to the week’s theme, followed by lessons on how to take evocative photographs via Mark’s instructional slide shows and everyone participating in photo shoots at the senior center grounds (indoors or outdoors depending on everyone’s comfort). Journaling our experiences will mark the end of each session. Mark will assign optional photography assignments for you to work on together or individually for the coming days, and Mark will review those photographs at the beginning of the next session.
