The City of Henderson is calling on local artists from the Las Vegas Valley to submit their qualifications for the Mural Artist Apprenticeship. Selected artists will take part in an apprenticeship with a lead artist from December 2026 – May 2027, where they will learn how to design, plan, and execute a public mural that encompasses principles of way-finding and site-identity.
At the end of the apprenticeship in May 2027, each artist will design and paint a mural on a Henderson park roll door in the Green Valley, Green Valley Ranch and McCullough Hills areas. This opportunity is intended for artists with limited public art experience.
- Artists must be at least 18 years old.
- Artists must currently reside in the Las Vegas Valley.
