Call for Artists: Public Employee Art Exhibition

Each year the city of Las Vegas Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs presents an exhibition of artwork created by Nevada public employees. It’s our pleasure to display the artistic accomplishments and showcase the exceptional talent and creativity of our state and local government workers.

This exhibition opportunity for all city, county and State of Nevada employees allows them to share their artistic talents and have their artwork displayed at the Las Vegas City Hall, as well as demonstrates to residents and visitors of Nevada our strong commitment to the arts.

GOAL AND THEME

To enrich public spaces with creative and thought-provoking works of art. The artwork should amplify the community’s understanding of the diversity of the arts in Las Vegas while creating an engaging exhibition for the city of Las Vegas.

For the Public Employee Art Exhibition this year, artists are invited to submit artwork that best represents their artistic practice made within the last three years. The content of the artwork must be appropriate for public audiences of all ages. Only original artwork will be accepted. Submissions containing graphic depictions of violence, sexually explicit imagery, and/or nudity are highly discouraged.

ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION

The Public Employee Art Exhibition is open to all artists employed or retired from public agencies within Nevada. A listing of eligible Nevada Public Employers is available here. A team of art professionals will curate the exhibition. All selected artwork must be delivered on Monday, Dec. 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
