North American Bison Discovery Center – Mural RFP

The North American Bison Discovery Center is seeking proposals from talented artists for the design and execution of a mural on an exterior wall of the museum.

This project is part of the revitalization of the exterior of the Bison Center, a project in action since June 2025. The mural will reflect bison themes, and can include natural beauty, natural landscape, and historic relevance. The purpose of the mural is to enhance the appearance of the Bison Center, and engage residents and travelers in its mission and purpose of advocating for bison restoration through education and outreach.

Site Specifications

The Bison Center is seeking an artist/muralist to design, create, and install one mural. Artists may assume this mural will be installed/painted on the building itself at the location. Artists will suggest the appropriate preparation of the space and submit two design concepts. The proposal should include the artist fee, site preparation costs, supplies and materials, any travel-related expenses, and associated costs. Once hired, the mural artist will prepare a detailed design and installation packet, which must be acceptable to the executive director of the Bison Center.
