Voices on the Land – Teaching Artist in Residency

Sealaska Heritage Institute (SHI) is seeking individuals to serve as teaching artists in Southeast Alaska (Juneau, Ketchikan, Yakutat, Craig, and Klawock) elementary schools. Individuals will lead and teach three-week residencies, focused on arts, literacy, and cultural integration in fourth and fifth grade classrooms. Individuals will also mentor apprentice teaching artists, host Family Night events and showcases, and provide embedded staff development
during residencies.
