NEA Chairman Jane Chu’s Nevada Visit

Jane Chu, chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, joined joyous members of the Silver State’s arts community to celebrate the Nevada Arts Council’s 50^th Anniversary on March 9, 2017. The sold-out 50^th Anniversary Awards Dinner, held at the Nevada Museum of Art, honored the Nevada State Senate, the Nevada State Assembly and the Office of the Governor for establishing the NAC in 1967. The evening included a Folk Arts Showcase, a performance by singer/cellist Shana Tucker, comments by Chairman Chu and Bob Lynch, CEO of Americans for the Arts, and recognition of the agency’s executive director, Susan Boskoff, and her nearly 25 years of leadership.
