Proposed Grant Changes for FY21

The Nevada Arts Council incurred significant FY21 budget reductions to its General Fund, Hotel Room Tax, and Live Entertainment Tax appropriations. Due to these reductions, we are unable to move forward with our previously approved FY21 grant programs (current 2-year grants were not affected). With the limited amount of grant dollars that remain for FY21, the Nevada Arts Council staff and board worked to create responsive grant opportunities for FY21 that will address the most pressing needs of our constituents. The two new proposed grant programs are:

• FY21 Artist Relief Grant (click to view proposed guidelines)
• FY21 Virtual Mini-Lesson Grant (click to view proposed guidelines)

Per NRS 233B.061, these guidelines will be posted for public comment for a minimum of 14 days, then a workshop will be held to solicit comments from interested persons. After this workshop, the Nevada Arts Council Board will hold an open public meeting to consider all public comments and vote on the approval of the new proposed grant guidelines.
