Stephen Reid joins Nevada Arts Council staff

Stephen Reid, an artist and resident of Dayton, has joined the staff of the Nevada Arts Council.

Reid, who grew up in Indian Springs in Southern Nevada, is the agency’s new Artist Services Program specialist and art installer. He will help organize the exhibition installations for the agencies three visual arts programs: the Nevada Touring Initiative Traveling Exhibition, the Office Exhibition Series and the Legislative Exhibition Series.

Reid has a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University and a MFA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He previously worked as an adjunct instructor at Western Nevada College, teaching visual foundations and drawing.
