UNR PROFESSOR ANN KENISTON TO HOST A POETRY READING

Nevada poet Ann Keniston, a two-time Nevada Arts Council Fellow in Poetry, will be hosting a reading for the public on Wednesday, April 3, in Reno.

Keniston, a professor of English at the University of Nevada, Reno, will read from “Works on Paper: Poems about the Visual Arts, Forgeries and the Art Market.”

The free event is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3 at the new John & Geraldine Lilly Museum of Art on the University of Nevada campus. Refreshments will be served after the reading. Attendees can park in the Brian Whalen Parking Complex on North Virginia Street, just to the north of the art building.

Keniston is the author of the poetry collection “The Caution of Human Gestures,” (Wordtech 2005), and a chapbook, “November Wasps: Elegies,” (Finishing Line 2013), as well as several scholarly books on recent American poetry.

She is the 2019 Nevada Arts Council Fellow in Poetry and also received the honor in 2017. She has recently published poems in “third coast,” “Water-Stone,” “Yale Review” and “Gettysburg Review.”
