WATCH NEVADA STATE CHAMPION, Vanessa Aponte, compete in the National Poetry Out Loud competition in Washington D.C.

Enjoy this live, one-time only webcast of the Poetry Out Loud semifinals and finals. The state champions will compete at the Poetry Out Loud semifinals on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET at the Lisner Auditorium at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Nine finalists will advance to the national finals, also held at the Lisner Auditorium, on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, from 7:00 to 9:15 p.m. ET. Both events will be webcast live.

Vanessa Aponte, a senior from Legacy High School in North Las Vegas, will present in the 3^rd round on Tuesday beginning at 5pm ET (2pm PT).  Click here for the live webcast.
