Cindy Jackson is a licensed clinical social worker, practicing therapist, and co-founder of Artful Lives, a Nevada-based nonprofit that blends creativity and healing through community-centered art programs.
Her collaboration with North Las Vegas Councilman Richard Cherchio sparked the founding of Artful Lives, a 501(c)3 nonprofit which provides accessible therapeutic art experiences across the city—including initiatives for youth, seniors, and underserved communities. Drawing on her background in trauma therapy, Jackson designs workshops that are both somatic and expressive, fostering emotional insight through hands-on creativity. She has created and facilitated courses for the City of North Las Vegas, the YMCA, and the Veterans Resource Center, among others.
Jackson’s personal art practice is rooted in portraiture—capturing both animals and people with emotional depth and sensitivity. Her painting style blends classical technique with symbolic storytelling, often emphasizing themes of resilience, cultural identity, and connection.
In addition to her teaching practice, Jackson maintains a small private therapy practice and serves as the North American executive director of Resource Therapy International, a clinical model that supports parts-based trauma work.
Jackson has been honored with multiple Congressional Recognition Awards and commendations from local and international institutions for her contributions to the arts and community wellness in Nevada. When not working, she is likely exploring new parts of the world with her family—or working on her painting skills.
