Chhavi Bhalla is renowned for her expertise as a Bollywood choreographer and event organizer. Through her company, White Light Bollywood Productions, she has been instrumental in spreading the joy of Bollywood dance in Reno and beyond her 17-year career.
Starting as a folk dancer, Bhalla trained under legendary artists such as Shiamak Davar, Vijay Ganguly, and Atul Mehtani, expanding her repertoire to include Bollywood, semi-classical, and Indian folk forms. Her performances at prestigious events like the Commonwealth Games fueled her passion for sharing the vibrancy of Indian dance wherever she goes.
Despite her extensive experience, Bhalla remains a lifelong learner, continuing training through virtual sessions with her mentors in India. Known for her ability to connect with students of all levels, she brings patience, joy, and cultural depth to her teaching.
Her choreographic work blends dance, music, and storytelling to create immersive cultural experiences. Through performances, productions, and workshops—including The Dog Days of Summer dance Festival, Diwaliwood and Artown—Bhalla has become a cultural bridge-builder, fostering inclusion, education, and pride in Indian traditions across Northern Nevada.
