Public Art to Commemorate Nevada’s Stories

The America250 Nevada Public Art Initiative

As part of the America250 commemoration, the Nevada Arts Council is proud to launch the Nevada America250 Public Art Initiative—a statewide program that will fund and support the creation of public art installations, with a focus on murals, throughout Nevada’s 17 counties and tribal nations. Local artists will be paired with interested Nevada communities or tribal nations to create murals or other public art that visually share Nevada stories that inspire the American spirit in us all. These artworks will honor our diverse histories, celebrate the people and places that make Nevada unique, and empower a collective spirit of unity and purpose.

We want to hear your thoughts about having public art in your community. Are you interested, what themes or stories could the artwork reflect, and where could the artwork be located? Complete the survey linked below or attend an in-person meeting.
