Born 1952 in Los Angeles, California, Carol Foldvary-Anderson’s vehicle to create change, spiritual growth and transformation, within herself, and those lives she is able to touch is apparent in her works and her teachings. Her art represents a continuous theme of multidimensional learning, with a harmonious balance towards life.

Her “Gigantic Paper Sculptures” received a professional artist grant from Sierra Arts Foundation, a period where she worked with color, light, and flow in crafting over 50 large scale sculptures out of bulletin board paper in the schools and cultural centers in the Reno, Minden, Carson City and Lake Tahoe areas, unable to be moved, all have been destroyed.

The Oil Pastel "Smudge” technique she invented encompasses math, where her students outperform her technique more than she felt possible, has been honorably received by the Nevada State Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Carol’s flowing hand crafted calligraphy lettering is permanently displayed in the hallways of the Assembly and Senate of the Nevada State Legislature. In 2025, she signed the 60 names on the diplomas of the medical graduates of at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Foldvary-Anderson has her own style as a self-taught artist. She attributes her influence in her college background in advertising art /graphic design. Her 10-year association with the Nevada Inventors Association instilled a mindset of creating a product and business with her artistic concepts.
