Stephanie Sumler

Stephanie Sumler is a dedicated arts educator, administrator, and artist with a background in visual and public art. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Visual and Public Art, along with a minor in Kinesiology, from California State University, Monterey Bay in 2013. With more than 20 years of experience, she has led art workshops for a diverse range of participants, including children, adults, and individuals with disabilities. Her workshops often feature activities such as letter writing, card making, collage, and various mixed media techniques.

Currently, Sumler serves as an arts administrator for Clark County Public Arts and facilitates creative workshops at The Discovery Children’s Museum in Las Vegas, where she continues to inspire and engage the community through the arts.

School & community workshops

Cardmaking workshops: Holiday-themed mixed media workshops including hand lettering, embossing, and stationary. Perfect for children and teens between ages 10-17, adults, and seniors. Workshop can be modified to serve a younger children.

DIY Notebooks and Journaling: Teaching easy and simple skills of bookbinding with recyclable materials like newspaper and junk mail to demonstrate
sustainability and the art of using old materials to make something new.

Community Paper Plane Installation: A public art workshop 2 part series and installation that weaves social and emotional
learning with public art. Available for recreation centers, schools, and libraries.Best for groups who want to collaborate and create one big easy project. Artist will create final piece with work created by the participants.
