A Conversation with Wild Nevada’s Chris Orr

Chris Orr has been at PBS Reno, the PBS member station serving northern Nevada for more than 25 year. Orr is PBS Reno’s senior producer and host of the travel-adventure series Wild Nevada, which has been broadcast for more than 20 years. The award-earning Wild Nevada series features Orr taking road trips and having outdoor adventures all around the Silver State. The series is currently in production on its eighth season and has more than 75 episodes in national distribution throughout the public television system. Wild Nevada is featured on more than 200 PBS members station across the country. An alum of the University of Nevada, Reno, and the Reynolds School of Journalism, Orr is an enthusiastic outdoors woman, and an avid hiker and runner.
