A.V.A. Ballet Theatre and the Reno Phil’s The Little Mermaid
An event every day that begins at 2:00 pm, repeating until September 21, 2025

Reno, Nevada – The fall gala season for A.V.A. Ballet Theatre opens with the classic ballet The Little Mermaid on Sept. 20 and 21 at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts. Choreographed by Alexander Van Alstyne, The Little Mermaid is the captivating story of the beautiful mermaid and her dreams of becoming a human. A dashing prince, a sea witch, crabs, and jovial eels have starring roles in this fantasy adventure. This classic story is filled with mesmerizing dance, intrigue, and is fun for the entire family. The Reno Phil with Laura Jackson as the conductor will perform the exciting score.
The Saturday Sept. 20 performance will be held at 7 p.m. and the Sunday Sept. 21 performance will be at 2 p.m. Ticket prices for adults are $30 to $60 with discounts for seniors and children. A.V.A. Ballet Theatre is the resident ballet company of the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts. They are northern Nevada’s largest company under the instruction of a professional faculty with years of performing experience in renowned metropolitan ballet and production companies across the United States and Europe.
