Nevada State University’s Office for the Arts invites you to Home Means Nevada, on view in the Thalia Dondero Gallery now through Oct. 17, 2025, during regular building hours. The reception will be held Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 4-7 p.m.
The exhibit artists include: Sam Davis, Cedar City, Utah; Olin Feuerbacher, Pahrump, Nevada; Peter Goin, Ren Nevada; Kelly Carroll, Hagatna, Guam; Mike Hill, Las Vegas, Nevada; Julian Kilker, Las Vegas, Nevada; Kurt Kuznicki, Reno, Nevada; Bruce Loeffler, Las Vegas, Nevada; Alan O’Neill, Henderson, Nevada; Robert Park, Las Vegas, Nevada; Will Roger Petersen, Gerlach, Nevada; Kimberly Reinhart, Henderson, Nevada; Deon Reynolds, Eureka, Nevada; Sharon K. Schafer, Henderson, Nevada; and Cristian Torres, Las Vegas, Nevada.
Home Means Nevada is based on an exhibition installed on Sept. 26, 2016, in the rotunda of the Senate Russell Building in Washington, D.C. The exhibit was organized by the National Parks Conservation Association and curated by University of Nevada, Las Vegas professor Sergio “Checko” Salgado with help from wildlife biologist Paula Jacoby-Garrett.
Home Means Nevada is part of the Nevada Touring Initiative–Traveling Exhibition Program. It was funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and the State of Nevada. The Nevada Arts Council is a division of the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs.
