In the Americas, Día de los Muertos traditions originate back to pre-Hispanic indigenous peoples. Día de los Muertos is celebrated annually on Nov. 1 and 2. Nov. 1, known as Day of the Little Angels (Día de los Angelitos), remembers children who have passed, with Nov. 2 remembering adults who have passed.
