Jim Clark, ‘The Trainman’ Lecture

Jim Clark, known as “The Train Man,” is a railroad historian, preservationist, and film industry veteran with over four decades of experience. With a lifelong passion for trains, Clark has worked on more than 250 major films, including 3:10 to Yuma, Appaloosa, The Lone Ranger, and Wild Wild West, ensuring authenticity in train scenes as a coordinator, engineer, and consultant. In this special presentation, Clark shares rare footage and behind-the-scenes stories, offering insights into the role of trains in Western films. Joining him is Squeek Steele, a celebrated Honky Tonk pianist and Guinness World Record holder for performing over 1,800 songs from memory. Squeek, known for her work as a silent movie accompanist, will provide live piano music during the silent portions of the presentation, bringing a dynamic musical element to the experience.
