Website Nevada Arts Council

As part of the America250 commemoration, Nevada artists experienced in murals and public art can apply for Nevada Arts Council FY26 America250 Public Art Target of Opportunity grants. Local artists will be paired with a Nevada municipality to create murals or public art that visually share stories that have shaped Nevada.

The commemorative cycle will award $275,000 to support America250 initiatives throughout the state. The goal is to have representation in all 17 counties and Nevada tribal nations.

We encourage concepts that align with Our Nevada Stories Project, a collaboration between the Division of Museums and History and Brad McMullen, our state folklorist.

This special funding aligns with the nationwide America250 commemoration and is made possible through room tax revenue allocated by the Nevada State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
