Meet Tami Castillo, a multidisciplinary artist who blends dance, theater, and education to inspire students of all ages. She has performed and collaborated with renowned artists and choreographers, including Danny Lewis of Juilliard and Donald McKayle of the Alvin Ailey Company, and worked alongside talented musicians like pianist Tom Grant.
As a Kennedy Center Teaching Artist, Tami has taught students from pre-K through college, integrating dance and theater into broader educational fields. Her mentorship and teaching programs have earned her the Sunburst Award for exemplary commitment to arts in education. She has served on the faculties of Portland State University, Lewis and Clark, Linfield, Clark, and Mt. Hood Community Colleges, and has led regional professional dance and theater groups.
Tami has taught workshops for Artown in Reno, connecting students with creative skills and inspiration.

BUY AN ARTS LICENSE PLATE
supporting k-12 arts learning
Nevada’s first Arts License Plate is available at DMV field offices statewide. The plate, designated by DMV as the “Children in the Arts” license plate, is available in a standard or personalized format. If you are interested in a standard format, the initial cost will be $51 dollars with an annual renewal fee of $20 in addition to all other registration fees.
