The Artist Services Program encourages the work of Nevada’s literary, performing, and visual artists. With a focus on the needs and concerns of the individual artist, the program components serve artists through grant funding, programs supporting the work of artists, professional development opportunities, and technical assistance.

NEVADA TOURING INITIATIVE (NTI) TRAVELING EXHIBITION PROGRAM

The Nevada Touring Initiative (NTI) delivers high-quality visual arts exhibits to communities throughout the state. To help accomplish this goal, every NTI-Traveling Exhibition includes installation, insurance, publicity, and educational materials. Read more

ARTIST FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 

The Artist Fellowship Program was created in 1988 by the Nevada Arts Council to encourage the pursuit of artistic excellence by providing financial support to Nevada artists. Read more

NEVADA POET LAUREATE

The Nevada State Poet Laureate is a governor-appointed position. The Nevada Arts Council oversees the Poet Laureate selection process and submits qualified individuals to the Governor for final review and appointment. The role of the poet laureate is to propagate the art of poetry and encourage literacy and learning throughout the state. Read More

Official Governor Portrait

The State of Nevada invites professional artists with previous experience in commissioned portraiture work to submit a proposal to paint the official portrait of Joe Lombardo. The portrait will hang in the Nevada State Capitol. Read More

LEGISLATIVE EXHIBITION SERIES (LXS)

The Legislative Exhibition Series (LXS) spotlights Nevada painters, photographers, sculptors, and craft artists during the biennial legislative sessions. A citizen’s committee selects the artists whose work is displayed in the gallery space on the first floor of the Legislative Building. Read more

FY27 ARTIST FELLOWSHIP GRANT – Visual Arts

Grants of $5,000 for artists living in Nevada are awarded in odd calendar years to Visual Artists. In even calendar years, these grants are awarded to Literary and Performing Artists.

Grants of $3,000 for individual artists living in Nevada in the production and/or presentation of artistic projects.
